This little lady is near and dear to my heart! Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards) was born 2 1/2 weeks early. No assistance in birth and stood shortly after birth, however had a rough start and did not nurse for 2 days. We gave her colostrum and bottle fed for 2 days. All this was going on while my grandfather was laying in the hospital dying. I was not going to lose this heifer also! On 9/16/24 Nevaeh found the udder and nursed without assistance from her surrogate mother. Her surrogate never gave up on her and neither did I. Today she runs the show with all 12 of her calf mates Her full sibling Howling Springs Donatella V (ET,PV,D) #67359 is tearing up the show circuit in 2024 winning every show she is entered in. I am super excited to watch this young lady grow up!
